We're looking for a new Social Media Executive
This role is full-time and predominantly located at our Head Office at the Cruise Centre, Barlborough. We’re a friendly team, full of enthusiastic creative people who are passionate about the cruise and wider travel industry.
At Bolsover Cruise Club, we’re experts in creating unique holiday experiences for guests looking for something new and interesting and we want to expand the different ways we can speak to people, this is where you come in.
You’ll be joining our in-house Marketing Team and be responsible for a range of activity, including, but not limited to:
- Assisting the Social Media Manager with our social media strategy to further engage with our current audience and help us appeal to new ones
- Assist with the creation and launch of a brand-new Bolsover Cruise Club TikTok channel
- Take an active role in the content creation for TikTok and the strategy for establishing and growing the channel
- Assist with the content creation and scheduling for Facebook, Instagram and X
- Take a lead in presenting, narrating and/or appearing in applicable channel content
- Produce cutting-edge and engaging content in a timely fashion whilst enjoying work-trip cruises and visiting ships in port
- Work independently and closely with our in-house designers to create imagery and videos for use across all relevant channels
- Assisting with creation, management and analysis of Paid Meta Facebook Ads
- Communicating with clients where appropriate online with messages, comments and reviews
- Keep abreast of new social media initiatives, trends and alternative channels to continue to drive our social presence forwards
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Marketer with at least 3 years’ experience in this field to join our in-house marketing team and to be a driving force behind growing our social media presence.
For this role you will need to have impeccable organisational skills, work well under pressure, and have a flair for creative and engaging social media content. You will be a creative thinker and confident on both sides of the camera, with an understanding of dynamic storytelling and adapting content for different channels and audiences.
KEY SKILLS (mandatory) –
- Expert user of TikTok, Facebook and Instagram and a good working knowledge of all others
- Experienced at creating and managing Paid Meta Facebook Ads
- Creating and managing a social media strategy
- Create dynamic and engaging content and copy for posts
- Create and manage an engaging social media calendar
- Expert use of Canva, it’s features and benefits
- Experience establishing, monitoring and reporting on social media KPI’s
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
KEY SKILLS (Highly desirable) –
- Experience of using Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, Later, Buffer or similar
- Experience of other creative design programs
- Knowledge of Google Analytics
- WordPress Management
- Blogging experience
Experience in or a passion for travel would be a real asset, but we’ll provide training in cruise product so it’s very important you’re keen to learn and want to succeed.
Hours are 9-5:30, Monday to Friday, salary DOE.
