Where are the Channel Islands?
The Channel Islands are an archipelago located in the English Channel, off the coast of Normandy, France. They lie to the west of the Cotentin Peninsula of France, and at the entrance to the Gulf of Saint-Malo, approximately 80 miles south of the English coast.
The islands are divided into two Crown Dependencies: the Bailiwick of Jersey, which is the largest of the islands, and the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which consists of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm, and some smaller islands. The islands are a dependency of the British crown and are not strictly part of the United Kingdom
