Gift Purchases

Gift purchases have become increasingly popular in recent years, with gifts available for purchase by passengers themselves or by the friends and families of passengers. Most cruise lines now offer gifts for all ages, from birthday packages for children to bottles of champagne and continental breakfasts for adults.

Food is a particularly popular gift option, with friends and family purchasing speciality restaurant vouchers or pre-ordering cakes to celebrate special occasions. Champagne is another popular gift for special occasions, with family members often purchasing it and requesting that the bottle is left in the passenger’s cabin ready for their arrival. Bottles of wine and wine packages are also available, though passengers will be required to pay a corkage fee for any gifted wine or champagne they wish to consume in public areas of the ship. All cruise lines offer a wide selection of flowers and photography packages, plus smaller souvenirs such as teddy bears or cruise line branded goods.

Most cruise lines accept gift orders no later than 72 hours prior to departure, however it is recommended that orders are made as early as possible. All cruise lines have a dedicated gift purchase telephone line for passengers, friends and family to call. Friends and family will need the passenger’s booking reference, cruise number or name, full passenger names and address, plus details of the gift they wish to purchase and any accompanying message. The order will not be taken without this information. Passengers may add gifts through their cruise personaliser but will again require their booking reference to do so.
