Cruise lines are limited in the number of assistance dogs allowed on board at any one time, with the number differing between operators. Additional documentation is often required, so it is important to allow adequate time to follow the necessary procedures, so that you and your assistance dog can enjoy a great holiday.
Certain ports of call may prohibit assistance dogs from going ashore, whilst others may request special documentation such as vaccination records, health certificates, pet passports and written evidence of the dog’s training in the assistance of a disabled person’s needs.
