Ticket styles vary from cruise line to cruise line, however most operators have now switched to a greener ticketing system. Rather than sending out paper tickets in personalised wallets, the majority of cruise lines now request that passengers log in online to access their documents, book excursions, enter passport information and add insurance details where required.
Please note that your cruise operator usually makes your travel documents available for you to print or download approximately 21 days prior to departure.
Some cruise lines, such as P&O Cruises and Royal Caribbean International, also offer guests the option of showing their e-tickets via their tablet device on arrival at check-in, removing the need to print anything.
Flight tickets for fly-cruise holidays will be sent out as soon as they are issued by the airline.
In some instances, ticket releases may be late. This is often the case with Saver Fare bookings with P&O Cruises and Cunard, as the cabin is not allocated until close to the time of departure. Tickets will be available to print as soon as your cabin has been allocated, with a representative from Bolsover Cruise Club or your cruise operator calling to advise in the unusual event that you must collect tickets from the cruise terminal on arrival.
Passengers who pay to upgrade their cabin or receive a complimentary upgrade should wait approximately 24 hours for the online system to refresh before printing their new amended tickets. These tickets will show information on your new cabin and will replace any tickets that you have previously printed. If upgrades occur exceptionally close to time of boarding, your cruise line may advise you to note your new cabin number over the existing one and speak to check-in staff on arrival.
