When planning your next cruise on Arvia, a great place to start is by selecting the deck and cabin that best suit your needs. This is where the P&O Cruises Arvia deck and cabin plans come in handy. These plans are full of useful details to help you choose the perfect spot on board, ensuring you enjoy every moment aboard P&O Cruises’ newest ship.
Arvia Deck and Cabin Grades Explained
When booking a cabin on P&O Cruises’ Arvia, you’ll be asked to select a cabin grade. The easiest way to explore your options is by consulting a deck plan, which displays all the staterooms, their grades, and their locations on the ship.
Arvia offers five cabin types: Single, Inside, Sea View, Balcony, and Suite. Each of these categories is further divided into subtypes. For instance, Single cabins come in both Inside and Balcony varieties.
The two-letter code indicates the cabin grade, while the color shows its location on the ship. You can use the color key on the Arvia deck plan to see if your cabin is situated forward, aft, or mid-ship.

How to Choose a Cabin on Arvia
As with any ship, you will need to consider several factors when choosing a cabin on Arvia. This is where an Arvia deck and cabin plans are particularly useful, as it provides the most accessible way to discover where each cabin is situated and any factors that may impact your decision.
When choosing a cabin on board P&O Cruises’ Arvia, numerous factors should be considered to ensure your sea voyage is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Here’s an overview of what to consider when selecting your cabin:
Cabin Type: Decide between a Suite, Balcony, Sea View or Inside Cabin. Generally, Inside Cabins on Arvia are the most economical, whereas Suites are the most expensive. More information about Arvia cabin types.
Location: Consider the cabin’s location on the ship. Some prefer a cabin in the middle of the ship for less motion, while others may choose a room at the front (forward) or back (aft) for the views and less foot traffic. Higher decks typically offer better views but may experience more movement.
Proximity to Amenities: Some cruisers like to be close to certain ship amenities, such as laundrettes, pools or restaurants. However, being too close to public areas might result in more noise. Review the Arvia deck plan carefully when selecting your cabin.
Accessibility: If you or your travel companions have mobility issues, make sure the cabin and the rest of the ship are accessible. P&O Cruises offer specially adapted cabins for passengers with disabilities.
Cabin Reviews: Look for reviews from past passengers about specific cabin experiences, which can offer insight into noise levels, service, and other personal anecdotes that might influence your choice. See our Arvia reviews for more info
Top Tip from One of Our Cruise Experts:
If you’re cruising with kids, I would always choose a mid-ship or aft cabin on Arvia, as this is where the buffet, kids’ clubs and pools are located.
Arvia also has an overhang as you move closer to the top deck, so if you’re choosing a balcony cabin, go for one that is mid-ship so you know it won’t be shaded.
