ABTA Predicts No-fly Cruise Surge for 2023

No-fly cruises will continue to increase in popularity next year, as holidaymakers look for convenient ways to travel. ABTA’s Travel in 2023 report identified that guests enjoy the benefits of a ship as soon as they step on board, made even easier when taking a No Fly Cruise from the UK.

The report also predicts the rise of the conscientious customer, who will take a more thorough approach to planning their holidays than before the pandemic. As a result, travellers are expected to book their getaways earlier than usual in order to lock in a good price.

Graeme Buck, Director of Communications at ABTA – The Travel Association, said: “Our new Travel in 2023 report paints an optimistic picture for the travel industry next year, with our research and booking trends from our Members clearly showing a strong commitment to foreign holiday taking over the next 12 months.

“It’s really encouraging to see that many of these committed travellers are placing higher value on booking with trusted travel professionals than before the pandemic. With more than eight in ten people saying it’s important that they book with an ABTA Member travel company this year, it’s really important that our Members make sure they’re proudly promoting their ABTA credentials among their customers.”

So-called hibernation holidays are also expected to remain popular in the new year, as holidaymakers look to escape the cold, damp weather in favour of warm, sunny locations.
