The P&O Arcadia refit 2024 has taken place, which has seen significant enhancements made across the ship. Here, we reveal everything we know about the refurbishments, and share some images of what to expect on board.
Carnival UK, which owns P&O Cruises, announced that the P&O Arcadia refit was scheduled to take place in November 2024. Alongside Aurora, the other exclusively for adults ship in the fleet, Arcadia received a multi-million-pound investment.
“Arcadia and Aurora are two of our most beloved ships in the fleet offering guests a more intimate experience in stylish surroundings. After a busy season hosting guests on longer duration itineraries and world cruises, we will be making sure that both ships look their absolute finest ahead of the summer season.” – Paul Ludlow, President of Carnival UK
P&O Cruises has modernised many key areas across the ship as part of the 2024 refit.
The suites and mini-suites benefited from enhanced bathrooms, and some received new carpets and curtains. A selection of cabins on board have been kitted out with new curtains, scatter cushions, desk chairs, sofas and carpets.
Many of your favourite venues have been renovated during the Arcadia refit 2024, such as the Meridian and Belvedere Restaurants, Neptune Bar, East Bar and Sindhu. Meanwhile, the Oasis Spa and Salon have been refreshed with new upholstery at the entrance, and flooring throughout. The Crow’s Nest and The Rising Sun have likewise been updated.
Some of the cabins on Arcadia have benefited from a refresh. A selection of Balcony cabins and Suites have welcomed new furnishings, creating a fresh and modern feel.
This isn’t the first time Arcadia has welcomed a host of new enhancements. Before the P&O Arcadia refit 2024, some spaces had already benefited from an update, which was completed in May 2023.
The upgrades included new balcony furniture, new chairs in cabins, as well as new furniture on the ship’s open deck areas. The Neptune Pool was also updated with new lounge chairs, sofas, tables and armchairs.
Arcadia has also received several major refits during her 19-year history, including one of the most significant, which took place in 2017.
P&O Cruises’ Arcadia is an exclusively for adults mid-sized ship. Since her maiden voyage in April 2005, Arcadia has gained legions of fans who particularly enjoy her smaller size, relaxed atmosphere, and wealth of amenities on board. With just 2,094 passengers on board, she is one of the smallest ships in the P&O Cruises fleet.
In fact, during her 19 years at sea, many of our Cruise Club Members can’t get enough of Arcadia and return to her time and time again!
Arcadia is a beautiful ship. The cabin was lovely and clean. All staff were excellent and friendly, food good. Didn’t want to leave. Been on Arcadia a few times, and she never disappoints.
