Three well-known British television personalities – John Torode, Lisa Faulkner, and Gennaro Contaldo – have been unveiled as the initial culinary talents set for Princess Cruises’ debut Good Food Show at Sea.
The partnership of husband and wife, Torode and Faulkner, famed from MasterChef, and Contaldo, recognised as the chef who tutored Jamie Oliver in Italian cuisine, are poised to bring flavour and flair to the event. It is due to take place on board the grand 3,660-guest Sky Princess. This event aims to captivate the guests and food connoisseurs with a showcase of cooking demonstrations, guided tastings, cocktail masterclasses, practical workshops, and more.
“I cannot wait to be onboard Sky Princess for the Good Food Show at Sea and meet like-minded travellers who are passionate about new destinations, sights, sounds and flavours from around the world. Lisa and I want to make this a really fun trip for all with personal cookery demos and a Q&A,” John Torode said.
Eithne Williamson, Vice-President of Princess Cruises in the UK and Europe, added: “Renowned for our exceptional onboard cuisine and captivating immersive experiences, Princess Cruises is extending our culinary reputation with this exciting partnership to bring the Good Food Show to the high seas. Just like its well-established land-based counterpart, this maritime edition offers unparalleled access to UK food heroes through immersive experiences, cooking demonstrations and onboard entertainment.
The Good Food Show at Sea takes place from 2 to 16 November 2024 aboard Sky Princess. The cruise departs from Southampton before calling to Lisbon, Cadiz (Seville), Gibraltar, Cartagena, Barcelona, Malaga, and Bilbao.
