Celebrity Cruises has revealed details of the excursion programme set to be available to guests aboard its UK summer sailings.
UK staycations aboard Celebrity Silhouette will showcase the best of the British Isles, taking guests ashore in Portland, Liverpool, Belfast and Inverness as part of coordinated Celebrity Cruises led excursions.
Highlights of the new Celebrity excursions include an ‘In the Steps of The Beatles’ tour of Liverpool and a guided visit to the beautiful Cawdor Castle in the Inverness countryside. A guided tasting and two-course winemaker’s lunch at the award-winning Langham Wine Estate promises to be a highlight, along with a visit to the legendary Glenmorangie Distillery. A guided drive and ferry ride on Britain’s largest inland loch joins a tour of Skara Brae and Skaill House on the Scottish staycation excursions line-up.
When Celebrity Cruises staycations call in Belfast, guests will have the opportunity to visit Winterfell. Also known as the Castle Ward Estate, the location became famous in hit series, Game of Thrones. The port call in Belfast will also offer Celebrity Silhouette’s guests a chance to see Ireland’s natural beauty on a 90-minute drive along the Antrim Coast Road to Glenariff Forest Park.
Guests on Celebrity Cruises UK staycation sailings are required to take shore excursions in port, with a series of health and safety standards set to be in place. Tours will host a reduced number of participants to allow for proper social distancing and operational tour staff will undertake daily wellness testing.
