Cunard Reveals Unique Shore Experiences for Queen Anne

As the maiden voyage of Cunard’s latest ship Queen Anne draws closer, the cruise line has unveiled a number of unique, newly curated shore experiences for guests that will be available during her inaugural season.

A total of 50 distinct shore excursions will be on offer across 60 ports, opening up avenues for travellers to dive into local culture, history, and explore natural marvels across Europe. The programme encompasses over 700 shore-based activities for the 115 stopovers Queen Anne is scheduled for in 2024.

With a range of offerings from a private orchestral performance in a hidden spot in Barcelona’s heart, to a peek behind the scenes at St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, these meticulously curated experiences aim to highlight some of the topmost attractions from the world’s most fascinating destinations.

Whether it involves tasting local dishes and wines in the Enchanted Forest of Madeira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or going on a Fjord Safari leading to a Goat Cheese Farm in Norway, Queen Anne’s signature shore expeditions are tailored for all – food and wine buffs, nature enthusiasts, adventurers and more.

The distinguishing feature of Queen Anne’s hand-selected shore excursions allows guests to avoid long lines and bypass the throngs at several of Europe’s most esteemed tourist spots. Moreover, several experiences are a bit non-conventional – like an exclusive look into a gold and silver-making studio in Bergen that has been crafting fine jewellery, interior decorations and exquisite silverware for over 150 years.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said: “We are all incredibly excited to welcome Queen Anne to the Cunard fleet in May and it is only right that her maiden season is complemented with a truly captivating shore experience programme. Our teams have worked meticulously to curate these 50 signature experiences to ensure that our guests encounter the essence of every port they explore. From ancient ruins and culinary escapades to helicopter rides and private snorkelling sessions, we’re delighted to be able to offer such exciting new shore experiences to Queen Anne’s guests.”
