The latest ship to join Carnival Cruise Line, Carnival Venezia, will feature a number of spaces that have never been seen before across the fleet. The ship is due to set sail for the first time in June and will be inspired by Italian architecture, coupled with just some of the highlights that returning passengers know and love.
Many of the outdoor spaces are reminiscent of Italian design, with a Lido deck modelled on the country’s Riviera, complete with a retractable roof that will enable guests to make the most of the area, whatever the weather. Carnival Venezia is due to sail from New York all-year round, where she will visit 25 ports across 14 different countries.
The Terrazza stateroom concept is also being introduced to the new ship. Similar to the Havana staterooms on other ships, these cabins will have access to an exclusive area – Terrazza Carnevale – an outdoor decked area with two whirlpools, a bar and lounge space.
President of Carnival Cruise Line Christine Duffy said: “Carnival Fun Italian Style is a new take on our recipe for creating memorable Carnival cruises, but certainly, fun will still be at the heart of everything we do on board.
“Guests will feel right at home on Carnival Venezia, with our friendly team members and many familiar venues and experiences on board, but the addition of several creative new concepts from dining and beverage to entertainment will surely offer some new favorites and further enhance the ship’s Italian theming.”
Brand-new entertainment options on board Carnival Venezia include a drinks reception held in true Venetian style, where live music fills the atrium and cast members dress in Venetian costumes. Guests are encouraged to wear Venetian masks. There will also be an Italian street party, which includes Italian-themed performances and eating contests.
