How Much Is The Fred Olsen Drinks Package And How Does It Work?

From that blissful first coffee of the day, relished in peace alongside a few pages of your morning read, to sipping something a little stronger with your feet in the pool at sailaway, there are some things that just scream holiday. If your Fred Olsen cruises are an excuse to indulge a little, it goes without saying that a drinks package adds to the ‘ahhh…’ of those little holiday moments. But what is the Fred Olsen drinks package and how much does it cost? More importantly, what does the drinks package include?

Here’s our guide to the Fred Olsen All Inclusive Drinks Upgrade, because a cruise without a cocktail or a coffee is no cruise at all.

How does the Fred Olsen drinks package work?

Once you have added the drinks package to your booking, you don’t need to worry about doing anything else. Your key card will indicate that you have upgraded to the All-Inclusive, so the crew onboard your Fred Olsen cruise ship will know as soon as they swipe. Simply order your drink of choice, hand over your key card and let them do the rest for you.

How much does the Fred Olsen All Inclusive Drinks Upgrade cost?

How much the drink package costs depends on your cruise:

  • £19 per person, per night – If you’re setting sail for more than six nights or more.
  • £35 per person, per night – If your Fred Olsen holiday is five nights or less, or a Speciality Sailing.

More than half of Fred Olsen’s guests choose to upgrade their holiday with a drinks package.

What does the drinks package include?

The Fred Olsen drinks package includes everything from that cold orange juice at breakfast to the G&T that rounds off your night. It’s all included in the price.

In the bars:

  • A choice three eight wines, including three red wines, three whites and two varieties of rosé
  • Selected brands of beer available on draught and in cans
  • Selected brands of cider available in cans
  • Selected Cava varieties
  • House spirits and mixers
  • An alcoholic cocktail of the day
  • Soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages

Wine varieties, cans of beer and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages will be available in restaurants.

What isn’t included in the drinks package on my cruise?

Premium drinks aren’t included in the package but guests with the All-Inclusive Upgrade will also save 50% off premium and branded drinks, red and white wines not on the included list (excluding Champagne and sparkling wines), plus cocktails and bottled water.

Does Fred Olsen offer a non-alcoholic drinks package?

No, not at this time.

How do I book the drinks package for my cruise?

If you’d like to add the Fred Olsen All-Inclusive Drinks Upgrade to your cruise, you’ll just need to let your Cruise Expert here at Bolsover Cruise Club know at the time you make your booking. Don’t worry if you forget or need more time to decide; you can add the Fred Olsen drinks package to your cruise right up until six days prior to your departure date.

It’s worth mentioning that all guests on your booking, with the exception of any children or youths travelling, will need to purchase the All-Inclusive Drinks Upgrade.

Do people think the All Inclusive drinks package is worth it?

At just £19 per person, per day, the Fred Olsen All-Inclusive Drinks Upgrade is one of the best value cruise ship drinks package around. Here’s what Bolsover Cruise Club Forum members are saying about it:

    Are the wines included in the package palatable ones? We're not connoisseurs but we enjoy a nice glass of wine in the evening and don't want dross.
