Marina Becomes First to Return for Oceania Cruises

Oceania Cruises has welcomed passengers for the first time in 524 days, with Marina becoming the first in the fleet to resume sailing and the first to embark guests since 2019.

Oceania Marina is sailing with a 100% vaccinated crew and guests, cruising to Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland, before passengers eventually disembark in Stockholm. Following the voyage, Marina will relocate to sail the late summer season in the Mediterranean and Greek Isles, before repositioning to Miami on 1 December 2021.

The first guests across the gangway in Copenhagen cut a ceremonial red ribbon and were welcomed by Capt. Luca Manzi and Bob Binder, president & CEO of Oceania Cruises. Speaking about the luxury cruise line’s return to sea, Binder said:

“Today is one of those days we will all remember for a lifetime as we reunite with our shipboard families and our guests to start exploring the world once again.”

Marina will be followed by Riviera in October, with the second Oceania ship resuming with itineraries in the Greek Isles. Insignia will return from 21 December 2021, embarking guests for its ‘Around the World in 180 Days’ voyage.
