New Top-Deck Family Activity Zone Park19 to Debut on Sun Princess

Princess Cruises has unveiled its latest family activity zone, Park19, which will debut on the new Sun Princess when she sets sail for the first time in February 2024. The new space, created for all generations, features nine activities for the entire family to enjoy on the top decks of Sun Princess. Park19 brings together multi-generational travel families in a location with spectacular views and fun outdoor activities for all. It has been designed based on guest feedback for more family and group activities spaces.

Located on decks 19, 20, and 21, the area features Sea Breeze, the first Rollglider on a cruise ship, which takes guests high above to enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and ports of call. Coastal Climb is a climbing structure that allows guests to ascend from decks 19 to 20 through a series of obstacles, while The Lookout is an open-air observation deck that offers incredible 360-degree views from the highest point open to guests.

The Net is a challenge for guests to trek across unstable bridges, a Z-shaped balance beam and climb cargo nets, while Infinite Horizon offers leaning tilt walls cantilevered over the side of the ship that allows guests to peer out from deck 19 down to deck nine and beyond.

Hammock Area is another first for Princess, where relaxing hammocks allow Park19 visitors to take a break from exploring to meet up with family and friends. Splash Zone is a whimsical splash area with pop jets and a beautiful water sculpture that offers a refreshing and relaxing area to chill.

Recreational Court offers a rotation of sports and wellness options to guests in this multifunctional sports court, from ping pong, shuffleboard, Xponential Fitness classes, and morning meditation. The Jogging Track is a refreshing open-air track that allows guests to walk, jog or run at their own pace.

Additional family-centric offerings onboard Sun Princess are found in the Youth & Teen Centres, suitable for guests aged six months to 17 years.

Princess Cruises President John Padgett said, “Park19, as the name suggests, is a new space created for all our guests, including activities to bring together multi-generational travel families in a location with spectacular views and fun outdoor activities for all.

“These expanded offerings give younger cruisers plenty to explore and enjoy aboard Sun Princess, creating an even more family-friendly experience with something for everyone regardless of age.”
