Princess Cruises Offers First Look at Sun Princess Dining Options

Princess Cruises has promised an incredible culinary experience when Sun Princess makes its debut early next year. With a focus on elevating the culinary excellence at sea, the ship will feature an unparalleled array of dining sensations to cater to every palate and desire. This includes exciting concepts from world-renowned chef, Rudi Sodamin, as well as an upcoming announcement of a celebrity chef.

John Padgett, the President of Princess Cruises, commented: “Outstanding food and drink at exceptional value are a cornerstone of the Princess experience. Sun Princess elevates the entire portfolio of offers and wraps them in restaurants, bars and sundecks that reveal stunning views, ocean vistas and sunshine, ice and wildlife.

“Our chefs will serve up vibrant flavours, pour perfectly crafted cocktails and provide personalised service that is second to none.”

Guests aboard the Sun Princess will have the option to dine in an array of tempting new dining experiences, including the theatre of Japanese Teppanyaki at Umai Teppanyaki, and O’Malley’s Irish Pub which reimagines the classic Irish pub concept with a refreshing twist. Seafood lovers can dine at The Catch by Rudi, which promises an array of dishes from award-winning chef Rudi Sodamin. Additionally, The Promenade offers slices of Promenade Slice pizza, gourmet burgers, hot dogs, freshly baked bagels, and a tempting selection of ice cream.

The ship also retains classic favourites such as the refined elegance of the Crown Grill, Sabatini’s, Kai Sushi, Crooners, the Wheelhouse Bar, and the engaging performances of Princess Live!

The ship’s culinary innovation extends to its multiple dining decks, offering something for everyone, from breakfast to late-night snacks. Guests can enjoy a wide range of ethnic eats, from Mexican to Mongolian, coffee concoctions, frozen treats, sushi specials, artisanal pizza, tangy barbecue, deluxe burgers, and hot dogs. Vegetarian and plant-based meals are also available, providing plenty of options for all diners.

One standout dining venue is the Horizons Dining Room, which takes the traditional main dining experience to new heights. With wake views and ample natural light, the dining room showcases a decorative sculpture stretching from Deck 6 to Deck 8. Friendly waitstaff will serve guests multi-course meals, with each level of the dining room offering its own personality, dining experiences, and varying levels of formality.

Sun Princess is due to set sail for the first time in February 2024. View the sailings here.
