For the past few weeks, the nation has gathered to ‘Clap for Carers’ each Thursday. Now the crew aboard Saga’s Spirit of Discovery have come up with their own way to show their appreciation for the hard work of healthcare workers during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The newest addition to the Saga fleet of cruise ships is currently moored at Tilbury Docks, where it is waiting out a worldwide pause in cruising currently set to last until June 2020. It was here that officers and crew came together to coordinate a social-distancing friendly display of solidarity on Thursday evening, lining up on the bow of Spirit of Discovery to spell out ‘NHS’ just in time for the weekly 8pm ritual.
