Scenic Eclipse is preparing for her season in Antarctica, as the six-star luxury yacht makes her way towards the southernmost continent. A number of extensive sailings are scheduled between January to March 2022 in The World’s First Discovery Yachts™ commercial sailings since the pandemic began.
Jason Flesher, Expedition Operations Manager at Scenic Discovery Yachts, explained that the size of Scenic Eclipse makes the vessel perfectly placed to visit this part of the world.
He commented: “We’ve been planning this Antarctica season for months and we can’t wait to head back to the White Continent for a season of luxury and discovery. Thanks to the size and capabilities of Scenic Eclipse, we’ve been able to secure exclusive landings in Margarite Bay, a southern destination that very few ships can visit.”
Among the itineraries that Scenic Eclipse will explore is Antarctica in Depth, a round-trip journey from Buenos Aires that includes some of the region’s most notable – and unknown – sights. Guests will cruise along the Beagle Canal, and have the opportunity to explore the Lemaire Channel, measuring just 700 metres wide at its narrowest point.
Scenic Eclipse has a maximum capacity of just 228 passengers, reduced to 200 in Polar regions. Aside from the ultra-luxury suites, the yacht also benefits from Senses Spa and up to 10 all-inclusive dining experiences ranging from casual to fine dining.
