Silversea has announced it will be adding Silver Endeavour to its fleet, an expedition cruise ship due to launch in November this year. This will be the fifth expedition ship to join the ultra-luxury cruise line and she will replace Silver Explorer for the 2022/23 Antarctica season.
Silver Endeavour will visit some of the most remote destinations across the globe, including both Polar Regions. She will carry state-of-the-art amenities, including cutting-edge navigation and exploration technology, a high guest-to-Zodiac ratio and a camera system capable to capturing high-quality images from five kilometres.
The new Silversea ship formerly sailed as Crystal Endeavour and features eight public decks, as well as multiple restaurants, bars and lounge. There is also an onboard spa, a two-storey solarium complete with a swimming pool and whirlpool.
Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer at Silversea Cruises, said: “To honour the spirit of expedition travel, we have renamed the ship Silver Endeavour—paying testament to one of history’s most famous vessels.
“Aboard Silver Endeavour, travellers will channel the same sense of discovery that guided pioneering explorers, such as James Cook, in bygone eras.”
