Sun Princess to Spend Inaugural Season in Mediterranean

The newest ship to join the Princess Cruises fleet, Sun Princess, will be setting sail for the Mediterranean for her inaugural season, including a series of cruises from Southampton.

The Sun Princess inaugural voyage is already on sale, a 10-night Grand Mediterranean sailing that departs on 8 February 2024, as well as two round-trip voyages from Rome. Booking for the remainder of the inaugural season will be available for booking from 9 November 2022.

A series of 10-night itineraries will be available on board the new Princess Cruises ship, visiting popular ports throughout the eastern and western Mediterranean. This is in addition to seven-night cruises departing from Barcelona, Rome or Athens, enabling guests to combine the itineraries to create 14 or 21-night voyages.

Sun Princess will be docked in Southampton on 22 and 23 September 2024

Eithne Williamson, Vice-President of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “Welcoming the beautiful Sun Princess to Southampton in 2024 will mark a very special visit, as it will be the first time a brand-new ship in the Princess fleet has called into a UK port during a maiden season in more than 10 years.”

Sun Princess is currently undergoing construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and will become the largest Princess Cruises ship ever built.
