The Luxury Editorial – Deluxe Spas at Sea

Relaxation experiences now extend way beyond the four walls of the onboard spa, offering guests even more ways to kick back and relax as they sail between incredible destinations. From in-suite indulgences to unforgettable shore excursions, and unique treatments to expert-led wellness classes, rest and recuperation are never far away.

It’s time to unwind in your robe and slippers and prepare to be inspired by some of the finest spas you will ever encounter at sea.

Silversea | Otium

Otium is billed as ‘the original art of comfort’, and Silversea proves that relaxation really is an art form with this incredible concept. Inspired by the traditions of Ancient Rome, Otium provides the perfect synergy between living well and being well by offering world-class treatments to its guests.

Silver Dawn is the latest ship to join the elite fleet and her onboard spa delivers the ideal place to unwind – but as you’d expect from a six-star cruise line, the whole experience runs much deeper. Everyone’s idea of relaxation is different; with Silversea, your personal butler will deliver a range of exquisite bath salts to your suite, run your bath to the perfect temperature and make sure the lighting is just right. A glass of chilled champagne and relaxing music add another layer of indulgence.

Meanwhile, the Otium Spa itself spans 791 square metres and invites guests to ‘relax like a Roman’. Enjoy the Sicilian-inspired Vulcano Island Mud Pedicure, or kick back in the Thermal Suite – the space has been curated with the Roman philosophy in mind that balance and personal choice are essential rights.

Regent Seven Seas | Serene Spa & Wellness™

Regent Seven Seas prides itself on transporting guests to some of the world’s most stunning destinations, and the onboard spa concept reflects and accentuates these incredible parts of the world. Serene Spa & Wellness™ on board Seven Seas Splendor provides a menu of services that mirrors many of the 450 destinations the cruise line sails to, taking inspiration from the techniques, treatments and ingredients that inspire the most amazing experiences.

The Regent Massage is inspired by sea buckthorn from the Mediterranean coast, while the signature manicure and pedicure uses frangipani from the South Pacific. The opulence spans beyond the ship, as guests can embark on a specially curated shore excursion, designed to deliver wellness through a series of unique encounters. Soak in a restorative thermal spring in Rome, or unwind in a yoga class overlooking the Sicilian seaside town of Taormina – these memories will stay with you for a lifetime.

Regent Seven Seas’ restaurant menus are also inspired by this approach to healthy living, offering options that are fresh, flavourful and nutritious. Serene Spa & Wellness™ has been rolled out across the ultra-luxurious fleet, setting the standard for spas at sea.
