Virgin Voyages has celebrated a double milestone, taking delivery of its second ship, Valiant Lady, and floating out its third, Resilient Lady.
The events took place at Genoa’s Fincantieri shipyard, where all four of the Virgin Voyages ships are to be built.
Valiant Lady will make her debut with Mediterranean voyages later in 2021, while Resilient Lady will join the sexiest fleet at sea in July 2022.
Developments with the two new ships came shortly after Scarlet Lady became the largest ship ever to dock in Portsmouth. She is set to sail a series of ‘Summer Soirees’ around the UK coast from August.
The ship debuted last year with showcase cruises for media and travel agents, however it relocated to New York as the pandemic hit and has not yet been christened or sailed a cruise with paying guests.
All three Virgin Voyages ships have 1,400 cabins, with capacity for 2,770 passengers and 1,160 crew members.
