Virgin Voyages Reveals Suites on Scarlet Lady

Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady, will feature 78 RockStar Suites, inspired by mega yachts and rock and roll style icons like Grace Jones, when she launches in early 2020.

Real leather finishes, marble-clad bathrooms and Terrazzo flooring will feature in the suites, alongside a vinyl turntable and the “best view that money can buy”, according to the line. Many of Scarlet Lady’s suites feature a marble ‘Peek-a-Boo shower’ with a glass window carved in the centre so passengers can see out into the ocean. Suites will also have a specially-designed champagne table which will sit alongside sun loungers and hammocks.

For passenger staying in RockStar Suites, they will have access to Richard’s Rooftop, a private members’ club where they can have a drink and relax in the sun.

Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, said:

Virgin has always avoided stuffy formalities and brought a lot of excitement and a bit of rebelliousness to our customer experiences. With these glamorous suites, Virgin Voyages is bringing rock and roll to the high seas and spoiling our sailors (passengers) like the rock stars they are.

15 of the 78 RockStar suites will be Mega RockStar Suites located on Deck 15.

In addition to these suites, there will be:

  • 2 Fab Suites
  • 2 Posh Suites
  • 9 Gorgeous Suites
  • 18 Brilliant Suites
  • 14 Cheeky Corner suites
  • 24 Seriously Suites
  • 7 Sweet Aft Suites

Virgin Voyages’ chief executive Tom McAlpin said:

We have combined brilliant design and Virgin Voyages’ epic sailor experience vision to create a completely new version of luxury – Rebellious Luxe, which is at the intersection of luxury and a rebellious attitude that makes everything we do different, indulgent and meaningfully relevant to our sailors. Whether they want to sleep all day, praise the sun with yoga at dusk or party all night, our RockStar Suite sailors can live out their fantasies aboard the Scarlet Lady.
