Silver Nova will be the latest ship to join Silversea’s ultra-luxury fleet when she launches in summer 2023. Promising to bring new experiences and never-before-seen styling to the ocean waves, we can’t wait to see what this six-star ship has to offer.
Although there might be some way to go until Silver Nova officially launches, details of what’s on board are slowly starting to emerge. We take a look at just a few of the features we’re already getting excited about on board this Nova Class ship.
Silver Nova is poised to be one of the most spacious cruise ships ever constructed. With a maximum capacity of 728 guests, and a gross tonnage of 54,700 tonnes, that makes a GRT of 75 per-passenger – so there’s no shortage of space to kick back and relax in.
You can also expect the service to be second-to-none, as the crew-to-guest ratio stands at 1:1.3. From the friendly crew who serve you at one of the onboard restaurants, to the butler who caters to your every need in your suite, this is your opportunity to experience the Silversea difference.
The destinations Silver Nova is set to visit are just as impressive as the ship herself. One of the highlights is a 71-day Grand Voyage to South America. Departing on 4 January 2024, the trip includes a circumnavigation of Latin America, before transporting guests down the Amazon into rainforests, fjords and some of the region’s most iconic cities.
It’s the trip to end all bucket lists if ever we’ve seen one, and includes three overnight stays in Rio de Janeiro for the world-famous carnival. If you’re going to do it, you might as well do it in style, right?!
As you’ve probably gathered by now, Silver Nova is all about luxury. And what goes hand in hand with luxury? Suites.
Silver Nova will boast 364 suites across 13 different categories, so there’s sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste. From the opulence of the Signature Suite to the outright indulgence of the 123 square metre Otium Suite, you’ll run the risk of never wanting to disembark. Custom-made mattresses and stunning bathrooms are the order of the day on board Silver Nova. Among the most spacious suites at sea, a new collection of prized aft suites will afford stunning 270-degree views on the destination.
Cruise lines are falling over each other to offer the most environmentally friendly ships at sea – and Silver Nova is no exception. In what has been billed as a first for the industry, she will be completely emission-free whilst in port. Using fuel cells and batteries, and liquefied natural gas as her main fuel, Silver Nova will be able to run off her own power sources while docked.
This will achieve a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per double suite when compared to Silversea’s Muse Class of ships. Impressive, indeed.

Silver Nova has always promised us some never-bef0re-seen features, and now more details have emerged, we can certainly see what they mean.
In a first for a cruise ship, Silver Nova features a revolutionary asymmetrical design, which in turn has given way to a reimagined pool area. Guests will be able to make the most of outdoor areas that give unrivalled panoramic views of the world beyond.
Pool decks will provide the perfect places to socialise and relax, while two new food and drink venues extend the onboard dining options even further.
Silver Nova’s pool decks offer the perfect opportunity for guests to relax, refresh and socialise, with oodles of space for 280 sunbeds on decks 10 and 11. The horseshoe-shaped pool area will occupy a generous space on the starboard side of the ship, affording unobstructed views on the destination from the swimming pool, the adjacent pool bar, and the sunbathing areas. The main pool is larger than on the cruise line’s previous ships, reimagined with a new layout, wide entrance steps, and more shallow waters in which guests can sit. Deck 10’s pool bar offers a centralised hub for socialising, day and night. Silver Nova’s uppermost level, deck 11 forms an amphitheatre-shaped structure with deck 10. It will offer guests a quieter, more intimate space for relaxing, with expansive views over the destination and out to sea. At its centre, overlooking the ship’s port side, extends an all-new infinity edge whirlpool, named The Cliff Whirlpool.
Silver Nova’s asymmetrical design also means two exciting new dining venues on deck 10; The Marquee, located towards the ship’s aft on the port side will enjoy views out to sea. The al fresco dining venue will welcome up to 220 guests, incorporating The Grill and Spaccanapoli—two of Silversea’s existing signature venues, which offer guests the cruise line’s trademark ‘hot rocks’ culinary concept and perhaps the best pizza at sea.
