Norwegian Prima. the latest ship to join the NCL fleet, is due to launch later this year, boasting more features than ever and some of the most exhilarating experiences at sea.
The 142,000 gross-tonne ship will be able to accommodate 3,215 guests at double occupancy and is due to set sail for the first time this September. Ahead of her maiden voyage, we run down just some of the features to expect on board Norwegian Prima.
Take those sea days to the next level on Ocean Boulevard. It’s an area of the ship dedicated to incredible outdoor experiences, whether that’s watching the sea sparkle below on NCL’s first-ever Oceanwalk, or swimming up to the horizon from an infinity pool.
The Indulge Outdoor Lounge is where you can enjoy movie nights, or evenings huddled around a fire pit. And, of course, because there’s always food somewhere nearby, it will also have its own Indulge Food Hall for you to grab a snack.
While we’re on the very important subject of food, as you’d expect from a brand-new ship, you certainly won’t go hungry. Fancy some Mexican food? Los Lobos is the place to go. Want a taste of the Med? Palomar, NCL’s first-ever Mediterranean restaurant, is guaranteed to tantalise your taste buds.
The drink options are just as vast and varied, but on board Norwegian Prima, there’s a real emphasis on being eco-friendly. Head to Metropolitan Bar for a cocktail made from renewable ingredients, or a glass of biodynamic wine. Not sure what this means? Us, neither. But rest assured it’ll be interesting to find out!
One thing that really strikes us about Norwegian Prima is the amount of entertainment that’s on board. We’ve particularly got our eye on Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, a 75-minute musical spectacular that promises to have guests not dancing in their seats, but rather in the theatre itself which transforms into a full disco.
The Prima Speedway is also high on our to-do list. Billed as the first three-level race track at sea, it’s the perfect opportunity to channel your inner Lewis Hamilton. If that doesn’t quench your thirst for adventure, the onboard slides certainly will. One spans 10 storeys and isn’t for the faint-hearted, or you can take on The Drop, the first free-fall slide in the world. Wowzers!
Space comes as standard when you book a stateroom on board Norwegian Prima. As you’d expect, there’s everything on offer from inside cabins to luxurious suites – but if you want to go all out, The Haven is the place to be.
Hailed as ‘the best address on board’, you’ll be treated to your own, well, haven, at the top of the ship, where a 24-hour butler service will be at your beck and call. The perks don’t stop there, as you’ll also get access to an exclusive sundeck pool and valet, priority embarkation and disembarkation, private hot tubs and much, much more. Where do we sign up?!
If you’d like to experience Norwegian Prima first hand – and who could blame you – then make sure you take a look at her itineraries. Click here to discover where this brand new NCL ship will be sailing in 2022 and beyond.
