Shivi Ramoutar grew up in Trinidad, before moving to New York and Leicester. She now lives in London with her husband, two ‘wildlings’ and her Yorkshire terrier.
You’ll find her cooking every Saturday morning, alongside Martin and Roman Kemp, on Martin & Roman’s Weekend Best.
Shivi has also written two cookbooks: Caribbean Modern: Recipes from the Rum Islands, and The Ice Kitchen: Fast Fresh Food to Fill Your Family and Your Freezer.
Shivi will be celebrating all that is great about Caribbean flavours in her exclusive dishes created for Taste 360 and The Beach House. She’ll debuted as a Food Hero on Arvia’s maiden season sailings in the Caribbean in winter 2023/24.
Shivi Ramoutar will be joined by José Pizarro and Kjartan Skjelde in bringing local flavours to life as Arvia’s Local Food Heroes.
You can expect flavours galore my Shivi Ramoutar. Dubbed by The Guardian ‘Caribbean Food Supremo’ and by BA as the ‘Queen of Contemporary Caribbean Cooking’, the chef’s colourful and flavoursome Caribbean fare will be a taste of sunshine after a day out and about on the islands.
