Details of a new Ambassador cruise ship, Ambition, have been unveiled, as the company confirms the purchase of a second vessel. The latest ship to join the UK’s new cruise line will follow in the footsteps of her sister ship, Ambience, when she launches in 2023 by predominantly offering no-fly sailings to the over-50s market.

The new Ambassador cruises ship will provide guests with a selection of regional departure ports including Newcastle, Dundee, Belfast, Liverpool, Bristol and Falmouth.

Ambassador Ambition will carry up to 1,200 guests in her 714 cabins; 125 of these have balconies and 113 are suites. A number of dining options will be available onboard, including two main restaurants, a bistro-style cafe, as well as four bars and lounges.

Entertainment options will also be varied and include a main theatre, casino, card room and craft studio.

Christian Verhounig, Chief Executive Officer of Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “We are delighted with the warm reception given to the introduction of Ambassador to the market – a new brand, proposition and our first ship. This announcement of the addition of Ambition to the fleet reflects our confidence and willingness to invest in the future of Ambassador and the cruise sector.

“We are particularly excited to be offering regional departure options for Ambition in 2023, whilst also offering guests who travel from London Tilbury a greater choice of sailings and ships on which to enjoy them.”

Details of the Ambassador Ambition sailings will be made available in the second quarter of this year. For all the latest updates and itineraries, keep checking our Ambition cruise ship page for information.
