Cunard will reintroduce a distinctive series of Le Gavroche residences at sea this year as two-Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux transports his iconic London restaurant to passengers on Queen Anne and Queen Mary 2.

The respected chef will close the well-liked Mayfair venue this month and supervise four Le Gavroche residences across four thrilling Fjords journeys in 2024.

The unique series will be conducted in collaboration with the Norwegian Seafood Council and commences with Le Gavroche at The Verandah aboard Cunard’s flagship, Queen Mary 2, in her voyage to Hardangerfjord on 2 June.

The five-night residence – which will be at an additional charge for guests – is set to accommodate 60 diners every evening, featuring an array of Roux’s signature seafood delicacies and sophisticated culinary classics. Guests will relish a five-course tasting menu infused with the full spectrum of ocean flavours, elegantly perfected with the finest produce.

Roux will subsequently host a second residency aboard Queen Mary 2 for her Hamburg roundtrip Fjords journey on 6 August.

In the same month, Roux will execute another intimate five-night takeover with Le Gavroche at Sir Samuel’s onboard Cunard’s latest ship, Queen Anne, as she sets sail for Stavanger in Norway on 11th August. This exclusive dining experience will serve 50 guests each night.

The Le Gavroche guardian will conclude his quartet of takeovers with a further Norwegian residency on Queen Anne on 1 September as she sails to Haugesund.

During these journeys, Roux will additionally feature as an Insights Speaker in the Royal Court Theatre, enthralling guests with anecdotes from his 40-plus-year career in the hospitality sector.

The announcement follows the previous revelation in August that Roux will be curating an exclusive gala menu for Queen Anne’s Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants, as well as a new Golden Lion menu brimming with polished pub favourites for Cunard’s latest ship.
