Fred. Olsen will be offering cruises from Portsmouth as of December 2022, giving guests the opportunity to explore a host of destinations. Balmoral will be setting sail from the port, starting with a trip to the European Christmas markets departing on 2 December. The eight-night voyage includes a host of ports such as Bruges, Copenhagen and Hamburg on a round-trip from Portsmouth.
This will be followed by a festive voyage to Spain and Portugal departing on 10 December, before Balmoral sets sail on a cruise to the Canary Islands for Christmas, where passengers will be able to see the ship in full festive decorations.
Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, commented: “At Fred. Olsen, we have almost 200 years of seafaring history, and so to welcome guests aboard from Portsmouth, a city with rich maritime heritage, is particularly exciting for us.
“These sailings have been hand-crafted by our team of dedicated Journey Planners, to offer our guests something special at the time of year they are visiting. Plus, the smaller size of Balmoral means everyone can be sure of a warm and friendly atmosphere aboard all of her sailings, whether it’s for a warmer festive break, or that once-in-a-lifetime voyage to South America and Antarctica.”
Fred. Olsen departs from a number of regional departure ports across the UK, including Southampton, Dover, Liverpool, Newcastle and Rosyth (Edinburgh).
