MSC Cruises has revealed details of its winter 2022-23 season, which will include a number of cruises departing from Southampton.
Passengers will have a choice of 21 ships sailing to destinations across 85 different countries. These will range from mini cruises right through to a 118-night world cruise.
MSC Preziosa will start cruising from Southampton in October 2022, making her the second ship to be based in the UK, as the cruise line announced in recent days that MSC Virtuosa’s UK season would be extended.
Antonio Paradiso, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in the UK and Ireland, said: “Sailing MSC Virtuosa from Southampton last year allowed us a great opportunity to access the new to cruise market who made up 50% of our sales for summer 2021.
“The impact the ship made in the UK was clear to see when it was awarded ‘Best New Ship’ in the Ocean Awards division as part of the Cruise Critic Editors Pick awards for 2021. I am delighted to be bringing MSC Virtuosa and MSC Preziosa to the UK in 2022 allowing us to offer more choice than ever before for guests seeking a no-fly adventure.”
MSC Preziosa is due to cruise from Southampton starting on 3 October, with itineraries to northern Europe. MSC Virtuosa will arrive in the port from 29 April, where she will kick-start the summer season with a mini-cruise to Guernsey, with the final sailing to the Mediterranean departing 4 November.
Further afield, the brand new MSC World Europa will be based in Doha for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and will offer cruises calling at destinations throughout the Arabian Gulf. MSC Seascape will become the second new MSC ship to launch next winter, offering two different seven-night itineraries from Port Miami starting on 11 December.
