MSC Cruises has revealed the introduction of a new Northern Europe itinerary from Southampton this winter – the first of its kind for the cruise line.

Following a strong return for the cruise line through its Seacations programme this summer, and ongoing demand for Northern Europe sailings, MSC Magnifica is set to offer 7-night cruises visiting five popular European cities – termed the ‘Northern Pearls’ by the cruise line. The ship will sail from the brand-new Horizon cruise terminal in Southampton between November and April, calling at Hamburg, IJmuiden/Amsterdam; Zeebrugge for Bruges and Brussels; and Le Havre for Paris.

Embarkation will be possible in each port and extended stays will see MSC Magnifica spend as much as 12 hours in each destination.

Antonio Paradiso, Managing Director of MSC Cruises UK & Ireland said:

“Following on from a full summer season with one of our newest ships, MSC Virtuosa, sailing in the UK, we are pleased to be able to bring another first to our British guests with a winter itinerary in Northern Europe. MSC Magnifica, a popular ship with our guests, will offer weekly embarkation in Southampton from the brand-new Horizon Terminal at ABP Southampton that opened this summer. This gives holidaymakers direct and convenient access to some of Europe’s best cities for a great winter cruise.”

MSC Cruises’ new ‘Northern Pearls’ sailings will open for sale on Wednesday 6 October
