Princess Cruises’ new ship Sun Princess will offer a number of unparalleled culinary experiences when she launches on 28 February 2024. Led by acclaimed chefs and sought-after industry figures, these exclusive dining opportunities promise to take dining at sea to the next level.

Among these experiences is ‘Spellbound by Magic Castle,’ a next-generation experience that infuses dining with mesmerising magic and skilful mixology. Held at the Horizons Dining Room and then the clandestine Spellbound Bar, magicians dazzle diners with illusions, combined with theatrically served cocktails. Limited seats for this spectacle need to be pre-booked and incur a $149 cover charge.

Sun Princess also welcomes sushi aficionado Makoto Okuwa aboard, where he presents ‘Kai Sushi,’ a modern twist on the Edomae-style sushi tradition. With 25 years of culinary artistry, including recognition by the James Beard Foundation and appearances on Iron Chef, Chef Okuwa’s sushi brings a blend of creativity and homage to Japanese cuisine with a £39 per person fee.

Joining Chef Okuwa’s sushi experience, guests can indulge in ‘The Butcher’s Block by Dario’ featuring top-notch meats, ‘The Catch by Rudi’ presents a seafood adventure, and ‘Love by Britto’ serves fine cuisine amid Romero Britto’s inspired settings. Cocktail enthusiasts can enjoy unique mixes at Good Spirits at Sea.

There’s also an offering of ‘Royal Afternoon Tea’ led by Chef Darren McGrady, former chef to British royalty and five US presidents, sharing stories and exquisite teatime treats for $30.

Additionally, Sun Princess hosts a special wine-tasting event with Gérard Bertrand, an acclaimed French winemaker, for the oenophiles at $40 per person.
