P&O Cruises have revealed they will return to the Caribbean this winter, with Britannia and Azura set to sail from Bridgetown, Barbados, on a series of 14-night fly-cruise holidays.
Britannia will begin operating cruises from Barbados on 5 November 2021, joined by Azura on 10 December 2021.
“Our Caribbean Cruise holidays build on our very successful series of U.K. coastal cruises, and now, following months of planning and preparation, we are ready to take our guests further afield,” said P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow.
“The Caribbean is unrivalled in its popularity, beauty and diversity of islands, and after missing out on international travel for so long, this year guests can opt for some winter sun or celebrate Christmas or New Year in style on one of our very special Caribbean holidays on Britannia and Azura.”
Both Britannia and Azura will continue to offer Caribbean cruises from Barbados through to March 2022. Guests booking a Caribbean cruise with P&O for 2021 will benefit from a free flexible transfer policy and may use outstanding future cruise credits towards bookings.

Hi Can You tell Me if the Azura Ship will be Sailing in January 2022 as We can’t make Any Plans
Hi Muriel, Azura is set to head to the Caribbean in the next few weeks, she will be be based throughout winter.
Is there any further update on being able to come off the ship independently? I have read that a PCR test may be required at each destination/island at a cost of £25 per person. Is that correct? This cruise has already been moved from January 2021 to January 2022 but was originally booked in early 2019. I would not have booked at all if the only way I can leave the ship is on an excursion.
Hi Jo, P&O Cruises will be in touch 17 days prior to departure with all information regarding Covid-19 requirements. Information regarding individual islands will be in here too. Thank you.
Can you tell me are you going to be allowed to get off independently?
We are currently awaiting further updates on upcoming sailings, and will share this information as soon as we have it
Will we be able to go ashore independently or will we have to book one or more of PO excursions
As of right now you will have to book excursions but we are awaiting an update from P&O so this may change in the near future
We are booked on the 22nd Jan 2022 on Azura, will we be able to go ashore independently. If we can’t, when do I need to transfer the deposit to next summer?
We are currently awaiting further updates on upcoming sailings from P&O, and will share this information as soon as we have it and we will be able to assist you if any changes are needed
I am already booked on a P & O cruise in the Caribbean in January. Please confirm that passengers will be allowed off the ship to do their own thing. I do not want to pay for a cruise which I am forced, if I want to leave the ship, to go on a P&O tour.
Hi John, We are currently awaiting further updates on upcoming sailings, and will share this information as soon as we have it. Hope this helps
