Regent Seven Seas Cruises has launched two new shore excursion concepts, which will bring guests even closer to the destinations they visit with the luxury cruise line. Known as Behind the Design and Eco-Connect, the tours will give a unique perspective on locations and landmarks.

Behind the Design will provide insights into some of the world’s most captivating and brilliant examples of architectural excellence. Among them are Copenhagen’s Royal Library and Blue Planet aquarium, as well as the Munchmuseet in Oslo and Marseille’s La Villa Mediterranée and MUCEM. Guides will be on hand to explain more about the architecture, the inspiration behind it and the people who brought these iconic buildings to life.

These new tours will be exclusively available on Regent Seven Seas European cruises in summer 2022, with additional destinations across the globe due to be announced later this year.

In addition, Regent Seven Seas is making more than 150 Eco-Connect tours available on its worldwide itineraries. Guests can engage with local groups and businesses to discover how they are working to conserve and sustain their surrounding environment. There is also the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences, which includes sampling organic wine at a sustainable vineyard in Bordeaux, creating a paradise for sloths to roam in Costa Rica and hiking through the beautiful Bach Ma National Park.

Jason Montague, President and Chief Executive Officer at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “We understand that while our guests love the all-inclusive and superior service standards found on board our luxury fleet, their primary reason for travel is to discover and explore,.

“That’s why our incredible destinations team has worked tirelessly over the last two years, creating unique and immersive ways to explore hundreds of destinations with completely fresh perspectives and unique experiences.”
