MS Vesteralen
MS Vesteralen takes her names from the first coastal ship in the fleet and is now proudly carried by this modern day counterpart. Having arrived on the scene in 1983, she is has the privilege of being named after Hurtigruten’s first ever ship, which set sail in 1893. The name is also appropriate as it is the name of the area in which Hurtigruten’s first ever home port, Stokmarknes is situated.
Vesteralen is located just north of Lofoten and is home to some of the most incredibly beautiful scenery imaginable.
